Hiking
Angel Fire is blessed to have Carson National Forest bordering it on the West and The Cimarron Canyon Area to the Northeast. Each area grants us hiking trails with varying vegetation and views. This area has a number of easy treks for flatlanders, kids and anyone who just wants to get out among the beauty.

There are numerous trails, here are three to whet your appetite.
Clear Creek Trail in Cimarron Canyon is excellent for the beginner. You will hike by numerous small waterfalls.

Autumn in Angel Fire

Autumn in Angel Fire
The Aspen trees begin to turn yellow, gold and orange the last week in September and the Oak, Holly and Wild Rose bushes follow quickly in their footsteps until the second week of October. Hiking and driving each bestow upon us their own special colored picture. Driving enables us to enjoy the Aspen, Cottonwood and Oak. Hiking enables us to also examine the changes of color in the ground cover plants. Join us during our three special weeks of unparalleled beauty. by Nadine Ashcraft Fall in Angel Fire
