Here's the Scoop With all the money spent and features added over the last several years, Angel Fire Resort is undoubtedly the most improved ski area in the entire Southwest. But if you want to take it from someone who has skied Angel Fire since 1978 (and yes, I've skied every other ski resort in New Mexico as well), here's the real scoop: Angel Fire is simply the best place in the southwest for beginners and intermediate skiers and especially those friends or families who only get to ski once or twice a year because 1) the layout of the mountain (funneling your family & friends right back together both on the front and back sides), and 2) the size of the resort (you can ski different runs all day, no matter what level of experience - but still it's not too big). So you will run into each other several times a day to share a run or a laugh or two. |

We're Hosting the 2004 USASA Snowboarding National Championships
this year! These are the world's largest snowboarding events! It will involve over 1000 snowboarders between the ages of 4 and 60, and will run from March 21st to March 27th (with the 28th set aside as a bad weather day). |

Terrain Parks Liberation Park at the summit features the only half-pipe in the state! Bad Lands Terrain Park is located on the back of the mountain on Fat City. Exhibition Terrain Park is located on on the front side of the mountain. Cayenne Terrain Park has numerous bumps and features. All 4 terrain parks are designed for skiers, snowboarders and skiboarders of all levels with features of all sizes. |

Powerful Snowmaking System More than 85% of all beginner runs are always covered by freshly made snow. Nordic Center Cross-country and snow-shoe access on 11.5 miles of terrain. The trails begin and end at the summit with breathtaking views of New Mexico's highest mountain, Wheeler Peak. |
Tube Zone Let's participants of all ages cruise down the tubing hill in colorful, inflated tubes during the day! Located on the front side of the mountain next to the Children's Center. For non-skiers, a one-time foot pass is available for $7. Of course we still have our famous night time tubing at the base of the ski area from 5-7 pm (no foot pass needed). Cost is just $7 per tube, per hour. Share one with your kids! Trust me you will love it! |
