Fuzzy Up For Adoption

Fuzzy is a Yorkshire Terrier mix that was rescued from a shelter in Florida and currently has a foster mom who cannot keep him. He is a sweet lovable guy who gets along really well with young children and adults and other dogs. He needs someone who can give him more time and attention to keep him out of mischief and can work with him on housetraining.

He would do well in a house with children and other pets. He likes to dig and mark his territory, but was recently neutered so that may improve with time. Fuzzy would make you a wonderful companion if you have the time to spend with him. Call Sherry Wall at 575-776-2635 for more information on Fuzzy.

Female Dog Up For Adoption

Available for adoption to an excellent owner is this female pointer, lab and pit bull mix. She is an extremely sweet and friendly dog. She likes belly rubs, car rides, sleeping on couch, and really loves being around people. She gets along fine with our 6 dogs and has been introduced to children under 6. She walks on lead well, knows sit, down and is crate trained. She will be up to date on shots and her toenails trimmed with clippers easily. She was found in Angel Fire and is probably 1 to 2 years old.

Please contact Rob Niemeier to adopt by calling 575-751-1800 or emailing Rob@justcallrob.com.

Clary Up For Adoption

ClaryClary is a 13 year old female “lap cat”, who has been micro-chipped, spayed, and de-clawed. We will need to check her vaccine record as she may need to be updated on vaccines.

Her current owners are moving to a lower elevation and are not allowed to keep their sweet cat.

If you can provide Clary with a new, wonderful home, please contact the Angel Fire Small Animal Hospital immediately at 575-377-3165.

Eva Up For Adoption

EvaEva, the beautiful kitty needs a forever home. Her loving owner, only 52, died of cancer June 30. She did NOT want her Eva to go to the Shelter. Eva is 5 years old, spayed, and loves a garden to sit in peacefully. She has not been around other animals, as far as is known. She is healthy.

I’ve attached four pictures of her. Please help find her a forever home by August 11, when the lady’s family will arrive to take her belongings. Please forward this to people you know who love cats, and let me know what I can/should do to help find her a home by August 11.

Please contact 575-737-9762 or mll@marylaneleslie.com.

Abby Up For Adoption

AbbyAbby, a 5-year old Chiapoo (chihuahua/poodle), needs to find a new home. Unfortunately she is not getting along with 1 of the 2 other dogs in her current home. She is 10 lbs, spayed, up to date on vaccines and is 4-5 years old. If you do not have any other pets and would like to adopt Abby, please call the Angel Fire Small Animal Hospital at 575-377-9949. She is about 2-3 years old, maybe 50 lbs, house-trained, leash-trained, and likes all people, children, and dogs! She is spayed and up to date on shots.

Calico Up For Adoption

CalicoA neighbor of mine emailed the attached pic and the info below about a lovely calico kitty that has been coming to her house and begging for food and attention. They live near a highway and this cat is not safe; we would really like to find her a good home — she deserves it. She does appear to be pregnant and possibly close to delivery.

She’s extremely affectionate. When she is here she follows me around and sits with me. She has not gotten on my lap but will stand up against my shoulder to look in my face, and then lay down right next to me purring.

If someone wants to inquire about her, they can contact my neighbor, Jacquee’ at 575-387-6675, or me at 575-387-6190.

Thanks!

Anne Thomas

Chewy Up For Adoption

ChewyChewy is a two year old neutered male Shep X who came to the shelter with a badly injured front leg in early March. It appears as though he had been hit by a car and had a severe laceration across the leg that went all the way to the bone. No bones were broken but he did suffer some radial nerve damage. He was seen at Salazar Vet who fixed him up nicely. There is a possibility that he might regain use of the front paw but for now he holds it up when walking and uses it for balance. He wears a bootie to prevent scraping to the paw should he drag it. Chewy has an excellent disposition and will crawl into your lap given the chance. He walks well on lead and seems to get along with other dogs and isn’t interested in cats. Please consider giving this wonderful dog a chance at becoming a member of your family. Contact Stray Hearts Animal Shelter at 575-758-2981 to bring him home today.
