14th Annual Garden Tour

When: Saturday, July 16, 2016

Tickets will be on sale through July 5, 2016. Purchase your tickets early to be entered in the early bird drawing.

Tour only tickets are $15.00 each. Tour and luncheon tickets are $30.00 each.

9:00 am to 11:30 am – Garden Tours

12:00 pm to 2:00 pm – Luncheon, Silent Auction and Garden Hat Contest at the Angel Fire Country Club Elements Dining Room

Blue Star Memorial By-Way Marker & Butterfly Garden Dedication

The dedication of the Memorial By-Way Marker will begin at 3:15 pm with the dedication of the Butterfly Garden immediately following.

The winners of the Butterfly Poster Contest will be announced following the dedications.

20 years of growing and decorating hundreds (probably thousands) of gourds certainly qualifies Becky McMurphy as an expert. Becky will share her experience and talents on cleaning, drying, storing, preparing and decorating gourds. Her display of gourds, in various stages from just picked to birdhouses ready to be hung, will be available for your viewing. This promises to be a fun program not to be missed! 13th Annual Garden Tour

garden-clubThe Angel Fire Garden Club hosts the 13th Annual Garden Tour.

When: July 18, 2015

Where: Angel Fire Visitor Center

Tickets for the tour and luncheon are $25 and will be sold until July 9, 2015. Tour only tickets are $10.

Registration will be at the Angel Fire Visitor Center from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. The Gardens are open until 11:30 am.

The luncheon, silent auction and garden hat contest will be held at the Elements Dining Room at Angel Fire Resort from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Angel Fire Garden Club Receives Honors

joann-laydenAngel Fire Garden Club Receives Honors At State Convention

Thirteen members from the Angel Fire Garden Club attended the New Mexico State Garden Club convention in Silver City last week. JoAnn Layden was busy accepting awards for the club for tree planting, food gardening, photos, longevity for our median and youth activity awards.

The garden club received first place for the Civic Award for the landscaping project at Camp Elliott Barker Girl Scout Camp. Our club received a total of 14 awards! Social get togethers with other garden clubs from around the state capped off a fun and exciting convention.

The Angel Fire Garden Club members look forward to the next annual convention in Ruidoso. The next Garden Club meeting in Angel Fire will be May 11, 2015.

New Mexico’s Garden Club’s District III Spring Meeting

spring-meetingThe Angel Fire Garden Club will host the New Mexico’s Garden Club’s District III Spring Meeting.

When: Tuesday, March 3, 2015

Where: H2 Uptown Restaurant

Registration will be from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The District III General Meeting will start at 10:30 am. Lunch will be served at 12:00 with a special selected menu.

Joe Distefano, who is the Angel Fire Resort Golf Course and Country Club Manager, will be our special guest speaker.

Mr. Distefano received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agronomic Sciences with emphasis in horticulture; specifically turf grass management. He has 30 years of experience in golf course management, design and landscape installation. The Angel Fire golf course has been recognized as a Audubon golf course using organic products for the safety of our feathered and furry friends.
