New Mexico Skiing Open For Business

Saturday November 20th marked the opening day for New Mexico Skiing. Sipapu opened its lifts at 9:00 am. This makes the seventh year in a row Sipapu has lead the way and opened our ski season in New Mexico. Don’t believe in La Nina, winter is here and snow is just around the corner!

Sipapu began making snow at 10 p.m. Monday, October 25 – this marked the earliest start in Sipapu’s snow making history. Sipapu opened Saturday, November 20; resort officials say this opening date makes Sipapu the first resort open in New Mexico. Sipapu has clenched this title for the last seven consecutive seasons.

Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort enters the 2010-2011 ski season as New Mexico’s fastest growing resort, yet visitors won’t have to wait in line for a lift.
