Halloween Safety Tips

Halloween Safety Tips For Kids & Teens

Never ever go into a stranger’s house or even ring the doorbell for treats unless your parents say that it’s ok. There are some people in life that aren’t very nice to kids and you have to be careful. Always make sure that your parents or designated supervisor are within sight when you are trick or treating.

Never go to a house that does not have their porch light turned on.

Be careful when you cross the street. Make sure to look both ways and there are no cars coming. Look out for younger siblings and friends, hold hands when crossing the street, when it is safe to cross.

If you are an older teen and are going out with your friends, make sure your parents know where you are going and who you are going with. This may seem like a pain, but your parents love you and want you to be safe.

If you can drive and are taking friends to a party, make sure that you have enough gas to get there before you leave. You don’t want to run out of gas in a dark rural place, all alone, like a bad horror movie! And be sure to have a spare tire and flashlight in your car.

If your parents give you a curfew, be home when they say. It builds trust between you and them and they are concerned with your safety. If you are going to be late, call or text and let them know.

Let’s Put Angel Fire On The Map!

af-on-the-mapThe Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Google to host a free workshop to help put every business in Angel Fire and the Moreno Valley on the map, including yours.

Just like being a member of the Chamber gives a business credibility, businesses that have complete business information online are twice as likely to be considered reputable by consumers. When people can find info about local businesses, our community becomes even stronger.

Join us at the Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce for this FREE Workshop.

When: Thursday October 29, 2015 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Registration will begin Monday, October 12 at 9:00 am. To register, call the Chamber at 575-377-6353, or email, seating is limited.

Bring your laptop and let’s get our businesses and our addresses correct on Google.

We’d also like to give every business in town the opportunity to register with the Chamber for Small Business Saturday, November 28, 2015. We want to join with thousands of other small businesses nationwide, as we celebrate small business and encourage people to shop small, shop local. We have a scavenger hunt planned for that day, incorporating all the businesses that have signed up to participate.

Remember to Shop Angel Fire FIRST!
