Computer Systems Of Taos Says “I Know Jo, Do You?”

March 16, 2012 By Dave C. Leave a Comment

By Jo Mixon

This week’s featured I Know Jo business is Computer Systems of Taos.

This week I went over to Taos to visit with Jeff Einhorn, owner/operator of Computer Systems of Taos. With his 33 years of experience, it’s easy to trust his company to keep our computer systems up and running. Since Computer Systems of Taos has been a member of the Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce for four years, I thought it would be a good idea to get to know them better.

Jeff hails from the Manhattan area, but has lived in or near Taos since 1995. As I do with most everyone I interview, I asked what brought him to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. To give me background into his story, he told me that he had been a Contractor and Mechanical Engineer in Brooklyn when he suffered a severe back injury. At that point he was urged by a family member to go back to school and study Computer Science and Technology, so he did. This was before the dramatic increase in personal computer ownership and it proved to be a great career move for Jeff.

Because of his injury, Jeff planned to take a six-month break with the intent to load up his dog and his van and head to Florida. The problem was, Florida had a lot of really bad fires that year, and so he decided to take a friend’s offer to see New Mexico, instead. He was going to come to New Mexico for a few days then go on to Yosemite and Tahoe, just making the rounds. But once he arrived in the Land of Enchantment, he never left!

Jeff took a job with F1 Computers, and a year later bought them out. His company became Computer Systems of Taos. Throughout the years he has employed up to seven technicians at a time. At the present it is Jeff, his bookkeeper, and technician Miguel Robles. Miguel has been with him for six years.

Computer Systems of Taos is a full-service registered Dell Partner. They sell, service, and repair new and refurbished Dell Desktops and laptops. But they are not limited to Dell products. They do repairs and upgrades on all types of computers and systems. They can provide Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware solutions or set up and maintain your network and back- up systems.

Here at the Chamber, as with a lot of their customers, Team Viewer programs are in place so they are only a phone call away when a problem arises. Most of our concerns can be handled in this capacity. If the problem can’t be solved through Team Viewer, Jeff or Miguel arrive at our door promptly and efficiently make sure our computers are running smoothly.

Computer Systems of Taos is are located at 112 Estes Es Road, Suite A in Taos. Visit their website at www.computersystemstaos.com, email them at ComputerSystemsTaos@gmail.com or give them a call at 575-751-1249. Ask Jeff about his Arabian horse, Tano. He told me that riding fast at least three times a week helps him keep his sanity!
