Angel Fire Chamber Of Commerce Annual Meeting 2016

Last Friday night the Angel Fire Chamber held it’s Annual Meeting. Membership was asked to vote on several amendments to the by-laws. A quorum was present. The vote in favor was unanimous. These are the passed amendments:

• The President and Vice-President of the Board of Directors will now have the titles of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board
• The Executive Director’s title has been changed to President/CEO
• The Chamber Fiscal Year has been changed from May thru April to the calendar year Jan. thru Dec. beginning January 1, 2017
• The election of Board Directors has changed from the spring to the fall
• The Board Spring Retreat will now be a Fall Retreat
• Elected Board members will take office in January
• The Annual Membership Meeting will be held the first quarter of the year instead of the second.

The Board has also made the decision to change the membership fees due date from a members anniversary date to January 1. All members that are invoiced beginning June 1, 2016 through Dec. 2016 will have pro-rated dues and will be due for a full year on January 1, 2017.

The Board of Directors have added new categories to our to Angel Fire Chamber membership tiers. They are:

• Associate Real Estate Membership – $100.00 per year
• Associate Multiple Business Owner Membership – $100.00 per year

An Associate Real Estate Membership is available to all Real Estate Agents working under a Broker’s license who is, already, a standard, premium, or gold member in good standing. An Associate Multiple Business Owner Membership (not premium) is available for separate businesses owned by a Standard Member in good standing. (partial voting member- 1/2 vote)

Proposed New Membership Levels that would be reciprocal to other Chambers for Angel Fire Chamber Members
in good standing:

This category of membership is being proposed to other Chambers in the Enchanted Circle and in Colfax County. We believe it will be good for all of our business members!

Chamber to Chamber Membership – $100.00 per year

This membership will be available to members in good standing of these Chambers: Cimarron Chamber, Eagle Nest Chamber, Raton Chamber, Red River Chamber, Taos County Chamber, and Taos Ski Valley Chamber (non-voting member)

We are in the process of meeting with and/or setting up meetings with these Chambers to offer the proposed membership to their members too. Hopefully it will go into effect soon! The benefits will be:
