Now that our 2020 – 2021 Winter Season has come to a close, we realize we have even more to be grateful for than in years past. About the only thing we knew for sure on December 11, 2020, was that our mountain would receive its fair share of powder. And we did: nearly 170 inches of the good stuff!
Thankfully, despite the pandemic, the entire Angel Fire community rallied around our Resort. Today, we celebrate those whose cooperation, support, and dedication made it possible for us to overcome every one of last year’s challenges and enjoy the Best Snow in New Mexico together.
Our Phenomenal Guests
Even though we had to make some big changes to the Resort experience last season, our guests continued to make our mountain their ski vacation destination of choice. It’s because of your loyalty that we could make it through our entire winter season.
Thank you for taking all of these operational updates in stride:
- The capacity limits at the Lodge, in our dining establishments, and on the lifts.
- The social distancing on the slopes.
- The masking indoors and out.
- The need to book most everything well in advance.
We understand that adapting to this new normal wasn’t easy, and we appreciate that you did so with patience, respect, and care for your fellow guests’ health and safety. Again, thank you! And thank you in advance for biking, golfing, and enjoying all of the incredible recreational activities the Southern Rockies have to offer with us this summer!
Our Loyal Members
Angel Fire Resort Members may know our ski trails like the back of their hand, but this year threw us all for a loop. Luckily, these resilient mountain residents are pretty much prepared for anything. And they showed it this winter. Thank you, Members, not only for following our COVID-19 protocols but also for showing our guests how to have a good time while doing so. You showed genuine leadership. You set the tone and provided a shining example no matter which activities you engaged in or which amenities you put to good use.
We’ve always known that we can accomplish anything when we work together. We’re looking forward to spending time with you and your families this summer — and reaping the benefits of our continued collaboration!
Our Dedicated Staff
Every slalom run has its zigs and zags. It also has its moguls. Making tight turns and leaping over the obstacles the pandemic presented would have been impossible if not for our amazing and dedicated staff. Your hard work, conscientiousness, and ability to go both with the flow and the extra mile is what got us to 3.21. You didn’t just come in each day masked-up — you did it with a smile. You provided expert and courteous assistance to our guests. You answered questions, listened to complaints, and patiently explained our COVID-safe guidelines. And you came back day after day ready to do it again.
In short, you worked harder, longer days than ever before, and you never let your enthusiasm waver. You ensured that our Members and guests could play and make lasting memories in our Alpine playground all season long. We appreciate you so much, and we’ll never forget the heroic efforts you’ve made these last four months!

Although there’s not much time to rest and relax before our Summer 2021 Season kickoff on May 15, 2021, we plan to make the most of spring on the mountain. We hope you’ll stay busy keeping safe while you explore our world-class bike park, championship golf course, zipline adventure tours, and more. In the meantime, we’ll keep you in the know with more operational updates. Again, thank you for making our Resort such a family-friendly destination. We can’t wait to see you again later this year!
